ISLAMABAD, Sep 07 (Online): Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said Pervez Musharraf has committed major crime by giving NRO.
“ Pervez Musharraf committed the biggest crime by giving NRO. Now all together say that give us NRO then the country will make development. Prosperity will come when there is supremacy of law in the country”, he said this while addressing a ceremony in connection with the ground-breaking of Islamabad District Courts’ building Tuesday.
He went on to say I did not need to step into the politics. When I launched party 25 years back, I named it movement of justice. I came into politics so that I could do something for the country. It was my desire that education, health, and justice system should be robust.
He held that the desired results of independence of judiciary had not come. The powerful wants to remain above the law.
He underscored that separate law for the poor and rich is our biggest tragedy. The country can make development due to independent judiciary. The weak wants justice. Powerful is above law.
He remarked we are trying to protect the green area of Islamabad.
The Prime Minister said it has been decided to teach Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) to the students of grade eight, nine and ten in order to abreast them about the golden principles of State of Madina. Adherence to Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) will resolve half of our problems, he added.
Those nations go ahead where there is rule of law, he stressed. We lagged behind for want of supremacy of law. Bangladesh and India outpaced Pakistan in development because law is in place therein. Any nation goes forward due to rule of law.
He underlined overseas Pakistanis are major asset of Pakistan. There is no land mafia in UK due to rule of law. There is no rule of law in Pakistan therefore, land mafia is active.
He underscored the weak needs protection against the powerful. The society becomes free due to provision of justice. If overseas Pakistanis purchase plot in Pakistan it is illegally occupied.
