Murad Saeed sends legal notice to Reham Khan for baseless slender

ISLAMABAD – February 27 (ONLINE): Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed has sent a legal notice to Reham Khan, former wife of Prime Minister Imran Khan, for casting baseless aspersion and launching dirty propaganda against him, it emerged Sunday.

As per the media reports, notice asks Ms Khan to submit her written explanation within 14 days and tender her apology. In case, she fails to respond during the stipulated period of time, a legal action will be taken against her and the sender of the notice will request the court to award her severe punishment, besides claiming Rs1 billion in defamation charges.

The links of various talk shows held at different TV programmes and social media posts have also been attached with the legal notice which asks Ms Reham to explain her position.

The notice says that in these talk shows, the participants not only gave reference to her writings but she also retweeted it on her twitter handle.

Mr Saeed was founder president of PTI’s student organization. He organized the Insaf Youth Wing all across the country. He actively participated in the judges’ restoration movement and campaigns against drone attacks, terrorism and highlighted other public issues.

During 2013 elections, he got the PTI ticket due to his own political struggle and he returned to assembly after getting a record number of votes.

Similarly, in 2018 elections, he once again won public trust and achieved a big victory. He was made a federal minister when he achieved all targets of the ministry set for the first 100 days after his party came into power.

Mr Saeed effectively represented his party during the election campaigns in FATA, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and he conveyed party’s message in best possible way to the people of these areas.
