May 9 riots cases: Court extends interim bail of Sheikh Rashid, Sheikh Rashid Shafique

RAWALPINDI, DEC 09 (ONLINE): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has extended interim bail of former interior minister Sheikh Rashid and his nephew Sheikh Rashid Shafique till January 04.

Sheikh Rashid along with his counsel Sardar Abdul Razzaq Khan appeared in the court during the hearing of cases related to May 9 riots against him and his nephew Sheikh Rashid Shafique Saturday.

Malik Ejaz Asif judge of ATC Rawalpindi division took up the cases for hearing .

The court expressed resentment over non presentation of complete record of the cases.

Public prosecutor said investigation is underway. More opportunity be given.

Upon it the court directed to complete the investigation and present the record till next date.

Later Sheikh Rashid while talking to media men outside the court said he has always respected the institutions. He has no relevance with May 9 incidents.
He held he was not here from May 08 to May 16.

I will contest election from NA-56 and 57 on the symbol of pen and inkpot. If I remain alive I will contest the election at every cost.

We have worked in both the constituencies of Rawalpindi. I did not send any tweet after “chilla”, he remarked. If elections are not held then we will work on old pay.

We should believe on Election Commissioner statement as he has said election will take place on February 08.

Don’t force me to say such thing that leads me to have another chilla after previous 40 days chilla.

He stated there is relief upon relief for Nawaz Sharif and he will get long relief.

Whosoever considers people fools is himself the biggest fool.

I did not send any by hand message through someone to any one , he added.

I will launch my election campaign from December, 10, he announced.
