ISLAMABAD, Nov 18 |(Online): The Supreme Court (SC) during the hearing of a petition pertaining to Local Bodies (LB) polls in district Dadu directed the petitioner to make preparations for major election maintaining the LB polls can take place next year.
The court while dismissing the petition regarding LB polls in Ward No 3 Dadu wrapped up the matter.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial took up the case for hearing Friday.
The counsel for the petitioner argued during the hearing of the case documents were filed under election commission populations census bloc.
The counsel for the Election Commission told the court that the petitioner did not select correct ward for contesting the election. The LB polls are already delayed due to flooding. The high court has directed to announce the date for polling.
The CJP while addressing the counsel for the petitioner remarked you should prepare for major election. .
The petitioner Parel Khan had filed petition about the election of ward No 3 of district Dadu.
