LAHORE, April 16 (Online): ;Lahore High Court (LHC) has wrapped up the petition seeking provision of full security to PTI founder in jail as withdrawn. The petition came up for hearing before Chief Justice (CJ) LHC Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan Tuesday.
The petition was filed by Afzal Azeem president PTI Lawyers Forum .
The counsel for the petitioner took the plea that a petition like this has been filed by Bushra Bibi in Islamabad High Court (IHC). We are withdrawing this petition for the time being. The petitioner said jail authorities have imposed ban on meetings with PTI founder due to security threats. PTI founder is facing life threat in the jail. It is requested to court to issue order to provide complete protection to life of PTI founder.
The court wrapped up the petition filed by PTI Lawyers Forum for providing complete security to PTI founder being withdrawn by the petitioner. It is pertinent to mention here that Advocate general Punjab Khalid Ishaq had informed the court about security arrangements on previous hearing of the petition pertaining to provision of complete security to PTI founder in jail.
