LHC restrains FIA from taking any adverse action against Khadija Shah

LAHORE, DEC 19 (ONLINE): Lahore High Court (LHC) has restrained FIA from taking any adverse action against arrested PTI woman leader and fashion designer Khadija Shah.

FIA has started investigation into money laundering case against Khadija Shah which was challenged by her in high court a day before.

Khadija Shah filed the petition through her counsel Sameer Khosa advocate making FIA and others respondents.

It was taken plea in the petition that Khadija Shah is arrested in different cases. She has been arrested in one after one new case after she was granted bail.

The petition said FIA started inquiry into matter of money laundering with malafide intent. It started inquiry into money laundering matter in derogation of law.

Khadija Shah requested the court to issue order declaring the inquiry into money laundering illegal.

Upon it the petition filed by Khadija Shah against inquiry by FIA in money laundering matter was heard in LHC.

Sameer Khosa counsel for Khadija Shah told the court no complaint has been received in FIA in this regard. This is not FIR. It is inquiry. This is suo motu inquiry.

Lawyer Sameer Khosa said any inquiry is held on basis of information. There are five such things in this inquiry which are beyond routine.

He told the court no complainant has come to open. Bail was granted to Khadija Shah in 4 cases. The she was arrested under MPO. She was taken to Quetta.
Counsel Sameer Khosa requested the court “it is our request stay order is granted on this inquiry for the time being.

He further prayed the court the respondents are restrained form arresting Khadija Shah again.

The court while restraining FIA from taking adverse action adjourned the hearing of the case till December 22.
