LAHORE, January 20 (Online): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has reserved judgment following the completion of arguments on acquittal pleas of PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb and others in provocative TV talks case.
The case against PML-N leaders Mian Javed Latif and Marriyum Aurangzeb came up for hearing before Judge Naveed Iqbal of ATC Lahore Saturday.
Both the PML-N leaders appeared in the court for attendance.
The counsels for the accused took the plea during the hearing of the case the case was registered with the delay of 5 days .
He told the court provocative talk was made on TV. Name of TV channel has not been mentioned in the case. The legal formalities were not reviewed correctly while registering the case. The claimant has deviated from his statement. There is no witness of the case now.
Later the court reserved judgment on the acquittal pleas of Marriyum Aurangzeb and other accused persons on completion of arguments.
It is pertinent to mention here the case against PML-N leaders was registered in Green Town police station in 2022.
Marriyum Aurangzeb while talking to media men outside ATC said we appear in the court for the very reason that we know these cases are false. One person does not want to become accountable to courts.
She went on to say those who launched long march, attacked Jinnah house and they get register terrorism case against others. Those who had made him darling are also suffering now.
