LAHORE, Aug 24 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) while giving a big relief to electricity consumers has directed them to pay electricity bills after deducting Fuel Adjustment Tax (FAT) from them.
The court while issuing notice to federal government, FBR, LESCO and other respondents sought the reply from them.
The court also ordered to club the petitions of this nature on September 14.
The petitioner took the plea federal government approved fuel adjustment in the bills which led to spike in electricity tariff. The Fuel adjustment in bills does not meet the legal requirements.
The petitioner requested the court to nullify the fuel adjustment in bills besides declaring it illegal.
