LAHORE, APRIL 16 (ONLINE): Lahore High Court (LHC) has nullified the notification about success of PML-N leader Azhar Qayyum from NA-81 Gujranwala besides restoring the membership of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) candidate Bilal Ejaz Chaudhry. The petition filed by SIC candidate Bilal Ejaz Chaudhry came up for hearing before Justice Shahid Karim Tuesday.
Rana Usman Ghani and Sardar Latif Khosa appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner. The counsel for petitioner took the plea in the court that Bilal Ejaz Chaudhry was declared success with lead of 8000 votesOn recounting the Returning Officer (RO) decreased 2500 votes of the petitioner.It is requested to court to suspend the notification about success of PML-N candidate Azhar Qayyum from NA-81.
The court declared the notification about success of PML-N candidate Azhar Qayyum from NA-81 Gujranwala besides restoring the membership of National Assembly (NA) in respect of SIC candidate Bilal Ejaz.
