LAHORE, MARCH 10 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) has been moved against non implementation of PEMRA orders regarding ban on live broadcasting speeches of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The petition has been filed by the petitioner Munir Ahmad through Azhar Siddique advocate in LHC.
The petitioner has taken the plea that legally the statements of the person who is declared proclaimed offender by court cannot be broadcast on media. Under PEMRA laws the live broad casting of the speeches of proclaimed offenders is banned.
He took the plea PEMRA has imposed ban on live broad casting of speeches of Nawaz Sharif. On the other hand live cast of speeches of Nawaz Sharif is continuing despite PEMRA orders.
The petitioner requested the court to order for implementation of PEMRA orders about imposition of ban on live broadcast of Nawaz Sharif speeches.
