ISLAMABAD, April 01 (Online): Justice (Retd) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has refused to become chairman of commission constituted in the perspective of letter written by 6 judges of Islamabad High Court (IHC)
Justice (Retd) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has informed Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif about his decision. through a letter.
He said in his letter to PM that he is grateful to PM and cabinet for expressing confidence on him. I am grateful to chief justice and senior judge justice Mansoor Ali Shah for their trust on me.
The letter of 6 judges was written to Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) and its chairman Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Investigating by me any mater which falls under jurisdiction of constitutional institution, SJC or SC will be violation of the judicial rules. The TORs set for inquiry don’t conform to letters of 6 judges.
