ISLAMABAD, April 04 (Online): Law ministry and legal team of Aiwan-e-Sadr while declaring the Supreme Court (SC) Practice and procedural bill rules regarding superior judiciary in conformity with rules and laws has recommended to the president to endorse them.
The president Arif Alvi is keeping this file with him.
The sources said law ministry and legal team of Aiwan-e-Sadr have informed the president about their stance.
The both have said law making is prerogative of parliament. Supreme Court practice and procedure bill is as per rules and regulations. The legal team have recommended to president to endorse it.
The sources told Online the president is keeping this file with him. Tthere is pressure from PTI on the president that the bill be sent back.
The sources said if the president returns bill then government has summoned joint session of parliament on April 10. If the president does not sign it after the approval from joint sessions of both the houses of parliament then the bill will become law automatically on April 20
