ISLAMABAD, APRIL 21 (ONLINE): Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has taken oath as acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
A per media reports, the oath taking ceremony took place in judges block of Supreme Court (SC).
Oath taking ceremony was attended by judges of SC, Attorney General (AG), law officers and lawyers.
Justice Munib Akhtar administered oath of acting CJP to Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will serve as acting CJP till the return of CJP Yahya Afridi to country.
It is pertinent to mention here CJP Yahya Afrida is on one week visit to China wherein he is representing Pakistan in judicial conference.
The conference is scheduled to take place in Hangzhou from April 22 to April 26.
