Judge of local court sends petitions seeking removal of Imran from chairmanship of PTI to CJ

LAHORE, May 11 (Online): Judge of local court has sent the petitions seeking removal of Imran Khan from chairmanship of PTI to Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court (LHC).

The court has said that the petitions be presented before 5-member full bench for hearing.

Justice Raza Qureshi of local court issued his order on the hearing of two petitions of identical nature on removal of Imran Khan from party chairmanship.

Justice Raza Qureshi said LHC five members bench is hearing other petitions with reference to it. It is appropriate that these petitions be also presented before this bench for further proceedings.

Junid citizen of Lahore and lawyer Afaq Ahmad have filed petitions against Imran Khan praying Imran Khan be removed from chairmanship of party after his disqualification in Toshakhana case. Nawaz Sharif was also removed from chairmanship of party after his disqualification.
