KARACHI, SEP 22 (Online): JI Karachi Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has said tax imposed on electricity bills are intolerable and his party will file another petition in the court tomorrow against slapping of taxes by K-Electric on electricity bills.
“We will file another petition in the court tomorrow against K-Electric because taxes imposed on electricity bills are intolerable.
He pointed out former mayor Karachi Nemat Ullah Khan had increased KMC tax recoveries honestly. But serving bills to the people of Karachi with levying taxes is injustice.
He indicated that million of rupees are being earned from sign boards in Karachi. The income being earned from sign boards is being pocketed by corrupt elements.
He held that MQM and PPP were joining hands with each other when the land was being grabbed in Karachi in 2013.
Karachi is not being given its due share of taxes, he regretted, he said motor vehicle tax is received in Karachi but no road of Karachi is in better condition.
