Jamat-e-Islami ends sit-in after talks with PPP

KARACHI, Jan 28 (APP): Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Friday ended sit-in from outside of the Sindh Assembly against the Sindh Local Government (amendment) bill 2021 after successful dialogue with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders.

Later, addressing workers convention at Idara Noor-e-Haq, JI Karachi chief Engr Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that amendments in the Sindh LG (amendment) bill 2021 would be the starting point for the rights of Karachi and Karachiites.

The convention was held in connection with the development of Friday as the JI concluded its sit-in against the Sindh LG (amendment) bill 2021.

Earlier, Sindh LG Minister, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, along with other members of the committee visited the sit-in and read out the written agreement between the two sides.
