ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday strongly condemned the firing incident on an ambulance that was transporting injured victims of the suicide blast in the Dera Ismail Khan area.
The minister also expressed sorrow over the martyrdom of two rescue workers who lost their lives in the attack. Mohsin Naqvi extended his condolences and sympathies to the families of the martyred rescue workers. He shared his grief with the bereaved families and paid tribute to the rescue personnel who were performing their duties while assisting the injured.
The Interior Minister said that the Khawarij had displayed extreme brutality through the attack on the ambulance. He termed the incident a tragic act and said that such actions reflected a complete disregard for human life and humanitarian efforts.
Mohsin Naqvi further stated that no amount of condemnation was enough for the firing on an ambulance carrying injured people to the hospital. He described the incident as deeply disturbing and expressed his concern over the targeting of rescue workers engaged in providing emergency assistance.
