Imran doesn’t foresee snap polls

LAHORE – December 28 (ONLINE) Former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who has been running a campaign for early elections, has now revealed he doesn’t foresee any snap polls in coming times.

Talking to senior journalists, Imran Khan said he carries on link with the current military establishment. Former Prime Minister said a ‘stunt’ of a ‘technocratic government’ was being propagated but maintained that his party will oppose any ‘unconstitutional’ arrangement to run country’s affairs.

PTI Chief said that final decision to announce early elections could only be taken if the ‘people sitting behind government’ are on board. He however denied having any relationships with those ‘powerful quarters’.

Imran said that East Pakistan was separated because the public mandate attained by a political party (The Awami League) was not accepted. He said that any political engineering in next general elections will have disastrous impact on country.

Imran Khan maintained that political and economic interests of PDM parties were abroad and hence they were not willing for any charter on economy.

Former Prime Minister said that the default risk during his government’s tenure was only 5 percent that had climbed to 90 percent during current government’s era.
