IK’s arrest was done according to law, Rana Sanaullah

Islamabad, May 9 (Online) Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the arrest of Imran Khan was done in accordance with the law, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an independent institution, the federal government has no control over NAB.

“Imran Khan is a cunning person by character. I have not talked to any officer of NAB in this matter, there are dozens of cases against Imran Khan, the arrest took place in the Al-Qadir Trust case, this money was supposed to be returned to the national treasury. The value of the property is 7 billion, 2 billion rupees were taken separately by Shahzad Akbar, and the property worth 6 billion was transferred to his name by injecting 60 billion to the national treasury.” said Interior Minister during a presser on Tuesday in Islamabad.

Addressing the press conference after the arrest of Imran Khan in Islamabad, Rana Sanaullah said that there are dozens of cases against Imran Khan. According to the law, the amount of sixty billion was the trust of Pakistan.

The British government contacted the Pakistani government and demanded return of this amount. He said that 240 kanals of land was also registered in the name of Al-Qadir Trust in Bani Gala. Imran Khan and his wife are its trustees. The value of this property is around five to seven billion rupees.

The details of the property were presented to the media. Imran Niazi was challenged to give an answer regarding the Al-Qadir Trust.

Shahzad Akbar is enjoying himself in Dubai and London today with two billion separately. It is a pity that the Supreme Court did not take notice of it, no one asked for the transfer of money from Britain.

The Interior Minister said that instead of bringing the money to the national treasury, the money was adjusted in the Supreme Court’s account and the Supreme Court did not take notice of the money from abroad in the Supreme Court’s account.

He further said that Farah Shahzadi alia Gogi transferred 12 billion rupees abroad through the banking channel. Farah Gogi had no obstacle to go to the Prime Minister’s house.

Imran Khan should be kept in a rehab center in Islamabad where he will be treated and investigated. Rana Sanaullah said that Rangers are permanently deployed in Islamabad, which is a force of the Ministry of Interior.

On the request of Islamabad police and administration, it has been deployed permanently under the command of Islamabad police for red zone and high court.

He said that today when NAB asked for help to arrest Imran Khan, Islamabad police also took help from the Rangers so that no violent action could be taken.
