ISLAMABAD, MARCH 21 (ONLINE): Islamabad High Court (IHC) while stopping the government from harassing the registered card holder Afghan refugees has wrapped up the petition filed by Afghan refugees Jamal ud Din and others.
Justice Inam Minhas of IHC took up the petition for hearing Friday.
During the hearing of the case against alleged harassment of registered card holders Afghan refugees IHC stopped government from harassing the petitioners registered Afghan refugees.
IHC directed concerned authorities to implement the law strictly as per July 27, 2024 notification.
It has been said in written decision as per petitioner government of Pakistan registered him as Afghan refugee.
The petitioner prayed the court to stop government from harassing him till expiry of card and evicting him forcibly from home.
The court said as per notification the stay of Afghan refugees in Pakistan is till June 30, 2025. Government should implement the law strictly according to notification.
