IHC seeks reply from PARC for violating courts orders in matter of dismissal of its 68 employees

ISLAMABAD, June 01 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought reply from Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) in contempt of court case for violating court’s orders in the matter of dismissal of 68 employees of Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC).

The case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) Athar Minallah here Wednesday.

Omar Ijaz Gillani represented the petitioner while Noman Paracha advocate appeared on behalf of PARC in the court.

Omar Ijaz Gillani advocate told the court the sacked employees are still receiving salaries. Noman Paracha advocate counsel for PARC told the court he has filed his power of attorney today therefore, he be given time for preparations of the case.

The court inquired from the counsel of PARC has the decision of this court been challenged.

Barrister Omar Ijaz Gillani told the court the application was first transferred and now we are being harassed.

The court remarked this court cannot interfere in the internal affairs of the institutions.

Omar Ejaz Gillani told the court the petitioner is fighting for the supremacy of law. They should be stopped from harassing.

The counsel for PAC told the court no one is harassing the petitioner.

The court while summoning written reply from PARC in contempt of court case adjourned the hearing of the case till June 23.
