ISLAMBAD, JAN 25 (ONLINE): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restored the powers of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad for issuing MPO temporarily.
The orders were issued by Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri here Thursday.
The court restored the powers of DC Islamabad on the plea for stay order.
The court issued notice to the respondents on the appeal plea of Chief commissioner and others against single bench decision.
It is pertinent to mention here that Justice Babar Sattar while presiding over a single bench had declared the power of DC Islamabad for issuing MPO illegal.
Chief Commissioner and interior secretary have filed intra court appeal against single bench decision.
