ISLAMABAD, July 22 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC)has rejected contempt of court petition against Election Commission (EC) for not de-notifying PML-N MPA Kashif Chaudhry.
The acting Chief Justice (CJ) of IHC Amir Farooq released the reserved judgment in the case.
It may be mentioned that PTI had taken this case to IHC that Supreme Court has given the decision the degree held by Kashif Chaudhry is fake and his membership of assembly be abolished. But the election commission has committed contempt of court by not de-notifying Kashif Chaudhry.
IHC had reserved judgment after hearing the arguments of lawyers from both sides.
The acting CJ IHC Umar Farooq while releasing the judgment rejected PTI contempt of court plea.
