IHC issues written order for hearing petition against alleged kidnapping of citizen, seeks report from defence secretary

ISLAMABAD, JAN 07 (ONLINE): Islamabad High Court (IHC)) while issuing order for hearing the petition against alleged kidnapping of citizen Kashif Hussain has summoned report from secretary defence.

The court has also directed DG ASF to nominate officer to probe into the matter.

IHC remarked DG ASF should file report after inquiry in the matter. Footage be reviewed and court be told the alleged kidnapped person went from airport or was taken into custody. Defence ministry and DG ASF should file report within 10 days.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri issued written order.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till January 16.

Wife of citizen Kashif has resorted to IHC for his recovery.
FIA filed report in court under court’s orders.

FIA said in the report the citizen landed Islamabad on emergency passport after overstay in Iraq. Immigration of Kashif Hussain was carried out at 12.30 p.m night on December 30, 2024. Kashif was allowed to go from FIA counter after preliminary inquiry. Kashif Hussain is neither in the custody of FIA nor his custody is required. FIA had allowed him to go after carrying out immigration.
