IHC gives deadline of February 13 to govt for recovery of missing Baloch students

ISLAMABAD, Jan 13 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) while giving deadline of February 13 to federal government in connection with recovery of Baloch missing students has issued written order.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of IHC issued written order of hearing of missing Baloch students case Saturday.
In the written order final report on reaching missing persons to their homes has been summoned from federation on next hearing.

The court observed the time given by the court for recovery of Baloch missing students is extended till February 13. We are not seeking affidavits from prime minister, interior secretary, defence and heads of law enforcement agencies still. If missing persons are not recovered then they will give affidavits and action will be initiated as per law as well.

Attorney General (AG) presented list of enforced disappearances of Baloch students. The court was told that cases of 12 Baloch missing students need to be resolved.

Federal government assured that neither any one will be kidnapped nor any enforced disappearance will occur in future.

AG assured that all missing persons will be recovered at every cost. He also said that action will be taken as per law against those who are found involved in illegal activities.
These statements and action are positive indications for better future of Pakistan. The grievances of Baloch families will be redressed this way whose near and dear ones are missing since last several years.

As per court’s order Sami Din Baloch told that more than one decade has passed since his father went missing. This matter is referred to AG as test case. AG should obtain information from state institutions about the father of Sami Baloch.

Sami Din Baloch said the group which is renowned as death squad has set up camp in Balochistan.

SHO Kohsar told those representing Baloch martyrs have set up their camp for dharna.

According to police both of the camps are there along clear boundary line in opposite directions.
Police assured that law and order situation and security will be ensured at the venue of dharna.
