IHC extends its order for not shifting natural gas to RLNG, not severing gas connections

ISLAMABAD, Nov 22 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has extended till December 02 its order for not shifting Natural gas to RLNG and not severing the gas connections.

The petition from Restaurant, hotel and catering association seeking court’s orders for not shifting natural gas to RLNG and stopping the severing of gas connection came up for hearing before the court Tuesday.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiayani heard the case.
The court ordered that SNGPL neither can neither sever gas connection nor can shift gas tariff till December 02.

The court gave one week time to OGRA and SNGPL in connection with preparation of the case.

Petitioner Farooq Chaudhry, president Restaurant Association appeared in the court along with Imran Shafiq.

Imran Shafiq advocate told the court the daily wages labor is affected if the commercial consumers are shifted to RLNG forcibly. As per federal government policy gas supply be ensured to domestic and commercial consumers on top priority basis.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till December 02.
