IHC dismisses petition against appointment of Marriyum Aurangzeb as federal minister

ISLAMABAD, Nov 15 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed the petition filed against making Marriyum Aurangzeb as federal minister on reserved seat.

The court rejected the plea declaring it non maintainable.

Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq announced decision on the petition filed by the citizen Talib Hussain. It was written in the decision the law is clear that member National Assembly or senator can become federal minister. There is nothing like this that a member who is elected on reserved seats cannot become minister. It is the authority of Prime Minister to appoint member assembly as federal minister or minister of state.
