IHC decides to constitute larger bench to hear petition seeking disqualification of Imran

ISLAMABAD, FEB 02 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has decided to constitute larger bench to hear the petition seeking disqualification of Imran Khan for hiding the information about his alleged daughter in nomination papers.

The petition came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) Amir Farooq.

The CJ IHC said in his remarks it is objection from Imran Khan that he is not public office holder now. It has to be confirmed from Election Commission office what is present status. We call the notification from election commission regarding denotification of Imran Khan.

The petitioner had challenged the affidavit of Imran Khan he had filed in 2018.

The court has decided to constitute larger bench.
