ISLAMABAD, July 01 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted the miscellaneous petition seeking early fixation for hearing the case on large scale appointments of non engineers in PIA engineering department.
A single bench of IHC led by Justice Amir Farooq took up for hearing petition filed by PIA engineer Friday.
Barrister Umar Ijaz Gillani appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner.
He told the court non engineers have been appointed on 56 deputy engineers and 337 aircraft engineers’ posts in PIA.
He prayed the court to fix the petition against the appointment of non engineer’s at large scale in engineering department of PIA. The appointment of non engineers in engineering department has put the lives of the passengers at stake. This can earn bad name for Pakistan in the comity of nations.
The court while accepting the miscellaneous petition ordered to fix it for hearing after summer vacations.
