If opposition has required number then what is need of staging dharnas by them: FM

ISLAMABAD, March 15 (Online): Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said if opposition has required number then what is need of staging dharnas (sit ins).

Opposition says it has required number of members. If they have required number then what is use of staging dharnas in Islamabad”, he said this in a statement issued here Tuesday.

He went on to say we have no intention for threatening the members or impeding their contacts. We will face the vote of no confidence in legal and constitutional way.

He held all the members are aware of their legal and constitutional obligation well.
Tabling no confidence motion is constitutional right of the opposition and facing no confidence motion is our democratic and constitutional right, he observed.

PPP staged long march and government did not stop it any where, he said adding those who stage long march will not be stopped anywhere in future too.

There are certain things which the Prime Minister (PM) wants to share with the nation, he said adding PM Imran Khan will take the nation into confidence through gathering.

OIC conference is going to take place in Islamabad and no interference therein will be allowed, he cautioned. Holding OIC conference in Islamabad is honor for Pakistan, he added.
