ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (Online): Director General (DG) FIA has told Senate special committee that the video of Senator Azam Swati running on social media is fake.
“this video has been made by combining two videos wherein torso is some one’s else and head of Azam Swati has been connected with it. The said video has not been made through some secret camera. On the other hand according to review of our technical team, this video was made with hand used camera. The man who is seen in the camera is creator of some porn video. Own to lack of government agreement with any larger social media site we have failed to stop such videos in Pakistan. The FIA can only ascertain when and where this video was made.
FIA has made elementary review of this video after the letter from interior ministry was received on November 05. It is premature to say some thing unless the complainant of this matter is there or the original video is there which was sent to Senator Azam Swati.
The said mobile number has not been provided so far to FIA through which this video was transmitted to senator Azam Swati or his family,
The committee met here under convener Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri in parliament house. He said that the incident met by the revered member of Senate is deplorable.
Senator Swati indulged in mudslinging against the institutions and slammed the chairman Senate. Upon chairman Senate constituted this committee to help the revered senator. The today meeting is second meeting of this committee. But the respected Senator has not come today. How can we help some one unless the complainant attend the committee meeting and tell the facts to it.
Member committee Senator Mushtaq Ahmad raised the question before FIA this is not the first incident and earlier the indecent video of former governor and senior politician Zubair Ahmad was made and was spread on social media.
Maulana Abdul Ghaffor Haidri said on one occasion how it is possible that FIA could not ascertain the vide was when and where made.
Senator Mushtaq Ahmad said on the occasion what convener committee is saying it means that FIA can intrude into home of Azam Swati on one tweet in the darkness of night. But on his complaint why it has failed to search it despite lapse of one week that who is behind this video.
The committee directed FIA that it should tell in next meeting to the committee when and where the video was made.
The committee meeting was attended by senator Salim Mandiwala, senator Hidayat Ullah, Senator Dilawar Khan, senator Mushtaq Ahmad, Senator Faisal Sabzwari, additional secretary interior Momin Agha, DG FIA Mosin Butt, director cyber crime FIA Waqar ud Din Syed and authorities of other ministries.
