LAHORE, June 03 (Online): Hike in price of petroleum products by the government has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC).
Judicial Activism Panel has challenged the enhancement in the prices of petroleum products.
The petition said the prices of petroleum products have been increased upto Rs 60 during a week.
Advocate Azhar Siddique said the robust hike in the petroleum products price will stir a storm of inflation. This upswing in the price of petroleum products will impact prices of all essential commodities.
The court was requested to nullify this decision of hike in petroleum products price by the government forthwith.
