Hearing of petition seeking registration of case against Gen (Retd) Bajwa, Lt Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed adjourned for indefinite period

ISLAMABAD, March 25 (Online): Hearing of the petition seeking registration of case against Gen (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and former Lt. General (Retd) Faiz Hameed for violating laws pertaining to retired servicemen by misrepresenting various events during media interviews after their retirement has been adjourned for indefinite period in Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Hearing has been adjourned due to non availability of the counsel Raja Rizwan Abbasi.A single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) Aamer Farooq took up for hearing Monday a petition filed by a citizen Atif Ali seeking registration of case against Gen(Retd) Bajwa and Lt Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed.

Barrister Umar Ejaz Gillani appeared on behalf of former army chief Gen (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa. The petitioner prayed the court to adjourn the hearing . The court was told that senior counsel Raja Rizwan Abbasi is not present.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite period. The citizen has filed petition for registration of case in FIA against Gen (Retd) Bajwa and Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed and others.
