Islamabad – October 31 (Online): National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf on Saturday urged supporters of banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan to choose path of talks with government for resolving issues and avoid spreading violence.
In an interview, Moeed said the government wanted to address the issue of TLP through negotiations but TLP supporters are engaged in blocking roads and ransacking public and private property.
He made it clear that the PTI government will ensure writ of the government at all cost.
Replying to a question about the demands of TLP, he said all genuine demands of TLP would be listened.
To another question, he said every Muslim had great respect for Namoos-e-Rasalat (SAW).
Meanwhile, roads remained blocked and traffic suspended in Wazirabad on Saturday as TLP protestors intending to march on Islamabad encamped near the city for a second straight day.
Outside Wazirabad, security forces have dug trenches and placed barricades on the roads in an attempt to contain the mob near a crossing over the Chenab.
All roads between Wazirabad-Sialkot and Wazirabad-Gujranwala have been sealed by government authorities to cut off the mob’s advance.
Train and internet services remain suspended in Gujranwala; however, life is inching back to normalcy in the city.
