Islamabad – December 21 (Online): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)’s central leader Ahsan Iqbal said Tuesday that current government did nothing except filing fake corruption cases against opposition leaders.
Talking to media on Wednesday after attending Accountability Court’s hearing, Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government ‘wasted its energies on making false promises and doing political victimization against the opposition leadership’
Talking about the current gas shortage, the PML-N leader said that his party had predicted long time ago that gas turmoil was coming our way.
“Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) relied on mass power in local government polls in Khyber Pakhtunwa” he said, while talking about outcomes of recent local body polls in KPK.
Ahsan Iqbal criticized government for not calling an OIC conference on Jammu and Kashmir since ‘India had engulfed Kashmir’. “We have been demanding since 2019 for a meeting of Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Kashmir” he said, adding that government however was unable to fulfill opposition’s demand in this regard.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir issue was as important as the Afghanistan issue. “Some experts said government had assured that no one will talk about Kashmir issue in the conference” Ahsan Iqbal claimed, adding that government was ‘betraying’ Kashmiris.
