Islamabad – December 1 (Online): Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and Balochistan’s Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan here in Islamabad.
During the meeting, matters related to Balochistan’s development specially provision of electricity to Gawadar residents was discussed.
According to details, Prime Minister discussed ongoing development projects in Balochistan and directed CM Balochistan for timely completion of projects.
Meeting discussed uninterrupted gas supply to Balochistan during winters. Matters related to accomplishment of Quetta-Karachi highway were also discussed.
On the other hand, thousands of people, including women and children, continued protesting in Gwadar for the 17th day on Wednesday, demanding among other things, access to clean drinking water and an end to “trawler mafia”.
Protestors from Gwadar, Turbat, Pishkan, Zamran, Buleda, Ormara and Pasni are taking part in the Gwadar Ko Huqooq Do Tehreek (Give Rights to Gwadar Movement) led by Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, a local leader of the Jamaat-i-Islami. They have vowed to continue their protest till their demands are met.
According to media reports, Balochistan Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said the provincial government had started working on the demands as soon as the protest was announced by Rehman.
