ISLAMABAD – January 28 (ONLINE): Former senior officer of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Usman Saeed was awarded four-year jail term for committing financial corruption of millions of rupees, it emerged Friday.
According to private news channel, court also awarded Usman Saeed, a former NBP vice-president, Rs10 million fine and disqualified him from holding any government office for 10 years.
Accountability Court judge Azizullah Kallo pronounced the verdict against Usman Saeed in connection with reference filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against him.
The judge also ordered the authorities concerned to sell the convict’s lands to recover the Rs10 million fine.
