LAHORE, April 17 (Online): Former governor Punjab Umar Sarfraz Cheema has challenged the jail trial in respect of case pertaining to siege and arson outside Jinnah House
He has taken plea in the petition filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) that notification of jail trial has not been issued in the light of law and rules. Right to fair trial be given.
The petitioner has requested the court to order for open trial of the case.
Umar Sarfaraz Cheema is charged with attacking Jinnah house and involving in siege and arson outside Jinnah house case .
Case No 23/96 is registered in police station Sarwar road in this regard.
