Electricity tariff of K-Electric consumers likely to be increased by paisa 51 per unit

ISLAMABAD, SEP 21 (ONLINE): Electricity tariff is likely to be increased by paisas 51 per unit for the consumers of Karachi.
K-Electric has filed petition in NEPRA for additional recoveries.

NEPRA will hear K-Electric plea on October 3. The increase has been demanded in fuel charges adjustment for the month of August.

In the event of approval by NEPRA financial burden over Rs 1 billion will be shifted to consumers of K-Electric.

NEPRA has not issued decision regarding FCA for the month of July.
K-Electric had demanded increase in tariff of Rs 3.09 per unit.

NEPRA had conducted hearing on August 29 in respect application pertaining to FCA for the month of July.

Additional financial burden of Rs 6 billion, 20 crore and 60 lac will be shifted to consumers in respect of FCA for the month of July.
