ISLAMABAD, FEB 20 (ONLINE): Electricity tariff is likely to be curtailed for consumers and Central Purchasing Power Agency (CPPA) has filed application in NEPRA in this regard.
The application has been filed under the head of monthly fuel price adjustment for January. The price of electricity can be reduced by Rs 2 per unit.
NEPRA will hear CPPA application on February 27.
As per application 7 billion and 81 crore units were sold out in the month of January.
10.63 percent electricity was generated from hydel, 15.56 percent from local coal,.8.53 percent from imported coal1.33 percent from furnace oil. 18.92 percent from RLNG, 26.61 percent from nuclear, 2.67 percent from wind, 1.67 percent from Bagas and 1.06 percent from solar sources.
0.41 percent electricity was acquired from Iran.
