ISLAMABAD, Feb 29 (Online): PPP has written a letter to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) on the matter of 9 vacant seats of senate.
It has been said in the letter that 8 senators were elected as Members of National Assembly (MNA) in the recent general election.
Those who have succeeded as MNAs are Yousuf Raza Gillani, Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, Nisar KhoroJam Mehtab, Sarfraz Bugti, Sadiq Sanjarani,Prince Umar and Nuzhat Sadiq.
Caretaker prime minister has already resigned from his Senate seat. Therefore the election be held forthwith on vacant seats.
