ISLAMABAD, Aug 24 (Online): Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has dismissed the appeal pleas filed by Imran Khan and Asad Umar against the imposition of fine for violating election code of conduct.
The appeal pleas from Imran Khan and Asad Umar came up for hearing before ECP Wednesday.
A four member’s bench of ECP took up for hearing appeal pleas filed against slapping of fine by DMO Lower Dir.
Both Imran Khan and Asad Umar did not appear before election commission.
The election commission dismissed the appeal pleas filed by Imran Khan and Asad Umr being not persuaded.
The election commission also ordered Imran Khan and Asad Umar to pay Rs 50000 each as fine for violating election code of coduct.
