PESHAWAR, Nov 12 (APP):Election Commission of Pakistan has appointed Appellate Tribunals for Local Government Elections (Phase-I) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that would be held at all city and tehsil councils besides village and neighbored union councils.
In a notification issued by ECP issued, the Appellate Tribunal would decide appeals against the decision of Returning Officers rejecting or, as the case may be, accepting the nomination papers of candidates contesting the LG’s elections (1st-Phase) throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the notification said.
A total of 64 Judicial Officers that would be appointed to head Appellate Tribunals for different city and tehsil councils and village and neighbored union councils.
