ISLAMABAD, MAY 20 (ONLINE): Election Commission (EC) has reserved judgment in the reference filed against PTI MNA Jamshed Dasti.
EC will release decision after verification of Jamshed Dasti educational certificates from Karachi board.
A 3-member bench of EC led by member Sindh Nisar Durrani took up Jamshed Dasti disqualification case for hearing Tuesday.
During hearing member KP said is Jamshed Dasti holding such property about which EC has not been informed.
The counsel for petitioner told the EC yes there is such property which has not been mentioned in nomination papers. He has mentioned in his nomination papers FA as his educational qualification while he has not done Matric.
Member KP said do you want to say this he has lied.
Counsel for the petitioner told EC yes he has lied and he has given affidavit about his FA qualification.
Counsel for PTI MNA Jamshed Dasti told EC the petitioner was candidate in general election.
Member KP inquired from him are there such documents wherein it is mentioned educational certificates of Jamshed Dasti are fake.
Counsel for Jamshed Dasti told EC he has done FA in 2020.
Member Sindh inquired he has done BA when.
Counsel told he has done BA in 2017.
KP member inquired has he done BA first and then he did FA.
Member Balochistan inquired you have done BA in 2017 and then what certificate of FA you attached
Jamshed Dasti told the EC he has done Matric and FA from Karachi board.
The counsel for petitioner said his matric certificate relates to DG Khan which is fake. Board has too written in this regard. His FA certificate does not carry registration number nor there is migration certificate.
Member Sindh said EC will get verify the Matric and FA certificate from Karachi Board .
EC reserved judgment on completion of arguments.
