ISLAMABAD, May 2nd (Online): The Election Commission (EC) has refused to recognize Pakistan Sunni Tehreek as a political party.
Candidates of Sunni Tehreek contesting elections in 7 provincial constituencies of Faisalabad have been allotted symbols as independent candidates instead of giving their party symbols.
6 candidates were allotted a table lamp while one was allotted a drum as election symbol.
Convener of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Faisalabad professor Mohammad Asif Raza Qadri has said, the inappropriate behavior of Election Commission is beyond our understanding.
