ISLAMABAD, June 06 (Online): Election Commission (EC) has issued show cause notice to Fawad Chaudhy in contempt of election commission case.
The contempt of EC case against former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry came up for hearing before EC Tuesday.
A 5-member commission under Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) took up the case for hearing.
Faisal Chaudhry counsel for Fawad Chaudhry did not appear in EC.
The supporting counsel told the EC that Faisal Chaudhry is engaged in session’s court. The supporting counsel filed cause list in EC.
The CEC remarked it is a pretext. EC has held 6 hearings from February 28 so far. Fawad Chaudhry has not appeared before EC so far.
The EC issued show cause notice to Fawad Chaudhry besides ordering him to appear on next hearing.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till June 15.
