ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (Online): Election Commission (EC) has given 3 weeks to the applicant for filing evidence on new foreign funding application against PTI.
As per media reports preliminary hearing was held in EC on new application of foreign funding against PTI.
The counsel for the applicant took the plea foreign funding is still being provided to PTI from foreign institutions.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) inquired what evidence you have that foreign funding is being provided to PTI. Reference of old law was given in the application.
The counsel for applicant said EC should give time to collect evidence. You can get hold inquiry in this regard on your own.
The CEC remarked we cannot hold inquiry on your desire.
The EC gave 3 weeks time to the applicant to file evidence besides adjourning the hearing of the case till November 01.
