ISLAMABAD, January 23 (Online): Election Commission (EC) has freezed development funds of local bodies and cantonment boards all over the country.
Development Funds of local bodies and cantonment boards of Sindh, KP and Balochistan will remain freezed till elections are held.
According to notification issued by EC the development funds of local bodies and cantonment boards have been freezed and the local bodies will do cleanliness and sanitation work and daily routine matters. They will not be authorized to launch new scheme or offer tenders. They are allowed to continue their development projects which were announced prior to announcement for general election.
