Rawalpindi, April 23 (Online): Additional District and Sessions judge Nadia Ikram Malik has accepted interim bail plea of Aleema Khan sister of PTI founder in the case of disruption of law and order situation during mass prayers held for release of PTI founder.
The court while preventing police from arresting Aleema Khan has ordered Aleema Khan to submit surety bonds of Rs 25000 and one surety.
The court maintained as the clauses of the case against the accused are bailable and police have to recover nothing from the accused therefore, there is no justification of sending the accused to jail. .
A 7-member lawyers panel including Muhammad Faisal Malik, Ghulam Hasnain, Murtaza Sumbal and Nabil Ahmad Satti appeared in the court along-with Aleema Khan Tuesday.
The lawyers filed petition for bail before arrest in respect of Aleema Khan.
Declaring the case baseless and political victimization the lawyers argued the allegations leveled in the case have nothing to do with the petitioner. Nor any evidence is there in respect of these allegations. No one among the petitioners is involved in negative activities. Most of the clauses of the cases are bailable. The petitioner in this regard is ready to join any inquiry or investigation in this regard.
They requested the court to accept bail plea of the petitioner and grant her bail.
Aleema Khan while talking to media men after hearing of the case said former chairman PTI is in jail. If we don’t speak against the injustice then it will go on increasing. Former chairman PTI was put to jail for speaking against injustice and life of slavery. He should not have been in jail at present. He had already said cipher case would not run for a long time and it happened so. High court will have to abolish the sentence awarded in cipher case.
She went on to say Al-Qadir case is being strengthened in trial court now so that Bushra Bibi could be sentenced. like wise the case of nikah during iddat against Bushra Bibi is ridiculous.
She held Bushra Bibi is still unwell. Despite it these people like fools have kept her in jail, Former chairman is also saying this that he thinks he will be awarded punishment till September and October.
We appear in the courts for the sake of our brothers. Former PTI chairman is standing there with positive thinking. He is not ready for any deal.
Former chairman PTI has made it clear he will face the cases, she underlined.
