LAHORE, April 30 (Online): PTI has challenged court’s decision for nominating Speaker National Assembly (NA) to administer oath to CM-elect Hamza Shahbaz in Lahore High Court (LHC).
Appeal plea has been filed by 17 Members of assembly from PTI in LHC through Azhar Siddique advocate. Federal and provincial governments have been made respondents in the petition.
In the appeal the legal point that the court is not empowered to interfere in the parliamentary affairs has been raised.
It has been said in the appeal plea high court’s April 29 order is not in conformity with the constitution.
It has been identified in the appeal that president and governor are not answerable to any court under the constitution.
